This is one of the very small number of trains that travel over the west curve at Santa Apolónia, bypassing Lisboa Oriente station. At Caldas de Rainha, the same unit continues to Figueira da Foz as train 6457 via the south-to-west curve at Bifurcação de Lares; thus both Portuguese obscure/sparse train services can be covered on this one train.
