The site of Cadishead's second (post-1893) station, with some remains of platforms and concrete edging visible. Looking south-eastwards. July 1993 (exact date unknown). This is the route of Railway Deviation No.4, built when the Manchester Ship Canal was constructed. Cadishead viaduct over the Ship Canal is visible in the distance. The original 1873 alignment is at a lower level to the left. Compare this photo with the photo taken from a similar place in 2020.
