Looking west from the A626 Glossop - Marple road bridge. Note the classic LNER-style structures but with 25 kV wiring on what was the 1500 V Woodhead trans-pennine route but it now only a branch to Glossop and Hadfield. Mottram yard was here, the remains of the staff platforms can just be seen in the extreme bottom right of the picture.
