This path near Virpazar station is believed to be on the course of the 750 mm gauge "Antivari" railway, opened in 1908 from Bar to Virpazar across the mountains. The line closed in 1960, the year after the present standard gauge Bar - Virpazar - Podgorica line opened. The narrow gauge terminus at Virpazar was in the village just ahead, close to the river bridge.
