Electric Traction Ltd.'s electric locomotive 87002 has arrived at Liverpool Lime Street with train 1Z15 from Edinburgh Waverley via the West Coast Main Line and St. Helens Central; part of "Day 4" of the 2016 GB Railfreight XV 4-day Charity Railtour. It is believed that this train was the first electric locomotive hauled train over the recently electrified section of route between Wigan Springs Branch and Huyton via St. Helens Central.
