As part of local festivities for the opening of the new Pajares variante and subsequent downgrading of the Pajares pass route, ALSA ran a public charter train, using the PTG charter stock, over the pass from Gijón to Villamanín and back. This was hauled by ALSA electric locomotive 269 411, seen here before departure from Gijón. I might have travelled on this, had it not been for the PTG tour over interesting parts of the FEVE metre gauge network.
