Puebla de Sanabria station on the broad gauge classic line between Zamora and Ourense; services here have reduced to near zero since the opening of the parallel high speed line a couple of years ago. East of here, towards Zamora and Medina del Campo, has one passenger service per day, arriving here late in the evening and returning early next morning. West of here towards Ourense has no passenger service at all, and practically no freight traffic. Ironically the PTG charter, seen here with ALSA diesel locomotives 2150 and 2148, had to wait here for the one daily service to arrive to clear the single line section.
