Looking across the valley from the R29277 road, some distance east of Beljakovce, two part-completed viaducts can be seen, on the proposed Pan-European Corridor VIII route between Kumanovo, north of Skopje in North Macedonia, and Gueshevo in Bulgaria. This is on the Beljakovce – Kriva Palanka section, about half-way along the route. This construction work was done between 1994 and 2004, but finance is available for a restart of the works.
