Eastwards from Kumanovo, a line was built in 1956 to Beljakovce, though disused by 1994. This view at Dovezence clearly shows a much older section than the post-1994 new build route further east towards Kriva Palanka on the proposed Pan-European Corridor VIII route between Kumanovo, north of Skopje in North Macedonia, and Gueshevo in Bulgaria. Ballasting work has recently been done on this section, perhaps a sign of the work being restarted now that finance is available. Beyond the road level crossing, an underbridge has been rebuilt.
