2-car diesel multiple unit at Mountsorrel station after arrival on the 11:40 departure from Leicester North. It would leave Mountsorrel as the 12:35 to Leicester North.
The Mountsorrel Railway was a network of industrial railway lines that served the granite quarries in the area, operating from about 1859 into the 1950s. Part of it was preserved as a project separate from the nearby Great Central Railway; starting work in the late 2000s, it was finally connected up to the Great Central Railway at Swithland Sidings in 2015, and has had special through workings on occasions since then.
