RENFE Class 599 DMU 599005 at the single platform station at Salamanca-La Alamedilla after arrival with Media Distancia train MD18921, the 08:28 departure from Madrid Principe Pio via Ávila, Crespos and Salamanca. Salamanca-La Alamedilla is about 1 km west of Salamanca's main station on the line to Fuentes de Oñoro then over the border to Vilar Formoso in Portugal, but this has had no passenger service since the withdrawal of the overnight Madrid - Lisboa at the start of the 2020 Covid travel restrictions.
Most of the Media Distancia workings to Salamanca continue on to Salamanca-Alamedilla, and appear to be well used, but they all return to Salamanca "empty"; there are no station staff nor facilities here.
