Looking roughly westwards along the island platform at Xàtiva. Under construction to the right are four standard gauge tracks (two through roads separating two platform loops) electrified at 25 kV 50 Hz. These are part of the new high speed line being built between the outskirts of València and the junction with the existing high speed line to Alacant at La Encina. Out of view to the left are the broad gauge platforms of the València - La Encina line, being rebuilt at the present time but with one track available for traffic.
