Looking southwards from the north end of the broad gauge island platform at Albacete Los Llanos. The pair of tracks to both left and right are broad gauge and electrified at 3 kV dc. Further to the left are the standard gauge tracks, electrified at 25 kV 50 Hz. Out of view beyond the station, between the broad and standard gauge tracks, is the Albacete gauge changer, used by trains from Madrid heading towards Murcia - though there are none of these at the present time due to long term engineering works.
