The Chanza Canal, running from the Chanza Reservoir on the Spain/Portugal border near Pomarão, provides a water supply to Huelva. A few km south of El Granado, the Canal goes into a piped section on a steep downhill grade. This view shows part of the sluice gates controlling the flow into the piped section.
