East of Ferrodosa the Douro valley widens out somewhat, with few gorge-type features but still very scenic. Today there was low cloud over the earlier parts of the journey, but this was clearing all the time and the sun started to appear - but with interesting layered cloud areas. This view is looking northwards near Vesúvio station.
