At Caldas da Rainha the PTG tour train was re-formed with both class 1400 locomotives at the front of the train, and with them coupled \"in multiple\". Here the electric and pneumatic multiple-working (MW) connections can be seen. This is similar to the UK \"blue star\" MW, with the air pipe controlling engine speed.
