Looking south-eastwards from the road bridge at the south end of Beja station, the well-ballasted line is the disused route towards Ourique and Funcheira; though the track quality seems to degrade in the far distance. The disconnected route to the left is the line to Moura: it opened in 1902 and closed to all traffic in 1990.
