Comboios de Portugal (CP) class 1550 diesel locomotive 1557 at Vilar Formoso with the PTG tour, after traversing the curve avoiding Guarda station. This was believed to be the first passenger usage of this curve. At the date of the tour, Guarda to Vilar Formoso was closed to passenger services for engineering works, but remained open for international freight traffic into Spain.
