When I last came to this area in 2013, Kiato was the terminus for EMU-worked services from Athína. Trains were extended to Aegio in June 2020, but this section is not yet electrified - so the forward workings are by DMU. OSE DMUs 560-108+560-104 will form train 308, the 17:03 from Kiato to Aegio. Interchange between the two services is same platform, end-on. Note the station here at Kiato has four tracks: two through lines and two platform roads. Plenty of capacity for future services, but not really needed for the present one train per hour....
If you look carefully you can see rail bases for a third, metre gauge, rail, on the nearest two tracks; there were intact when I came here in 2013, see this photo. Even back in 2013 the metre gauge route both west and east of here had been cut.
