West of Antequera Santa Ana, a planned high speed line towards Sevilla has been partly constructed but was abandoned due to failure to agree the route detail into Sevilla. At Aguadulce, between Pedrera and Osuna, the river bridge in this view was washed away by flooding in October 2018. After a lot of "discussions", and a long period of bus-substitution, it was agreed to deviate the old line onto the new alignment to bypass the damaged bridge; this happened in 2021.
