Looking roughly eastwards from Parbold level crossing towards Wigan. In the distance, just before the road overbridge, are Parbold's Up Section signal and Chapel Lane Crossing's Up Distant signal; both are wire-worked from their respective lever frames. On the right is the Down Line signal protecting the level crossing at Parbold.
