Here just north of the Buxton - Chapel main road (nowadays the A6) lay-by at Barmoor Clough, the Peak Forest Tramway route can be seen between the railway and the A6, now used as a store for railway materials. As the A6 descends steeply towards Chapel-en-le-Frith, the wall of the Peak Forest Tramway route can be seen as it turns more gently to the right. Just visible on the left is the L&NWR Eaves Tunnel. The Peak Forest Tramway was realigned slightly to the east (nearer to the present A6) here when the L&NWR was built in 1860.
