A busy scene at Šid in Serbia, with Croatian and Serbian electric locomotives visible, plus JŽ (Jugoslovenske Železnice, Jugoslav Railways) diesel railcar B812-017 which will form the GIL charter train from Šid to Bijeljina. Bijeljina is in a strongly Serbian area of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and at this time had a passenger service of about four return trains per day; however these were only permitted for use by local citizens. The GIL party had special permission to use the route, which include having specially-arranged formalities at the border.
