Approaching the large expanse of water where the River Weaver meets the Manchester Ship Canal. Narrow boat "Lockdown" is visible ahead of us but will follow us into Marsh Lock. On the hillside ahead is the Rock Savage chemical works at Runcorn. The landing stage to the left is where the farmer ferries sheep across the Canal to the large expanse of grazing land between the Canal and the Mersey.
