A view looking towards Preston of the Preston & Longridge Railway station buildings at Longridge. To the right is the original 1840 hotel used as a booking-office, later renamed the Towneley Arms; to the left is the "proper" 1873 building. The line crossed Berry Lane here to reach the quarries at Tootle Heights and the goods yard. The 1873 station is now a tourist information centre and cafe.
