Plaque built into the western parapet of the bridge carrying Deepdale Mill Street over the link built in 1850 by the Fleetwood, Preston and West Riding Junction Railway.
The plaque appears to read: "County Borough of Preston Deepdale Bridge Erected by the Corporation 1913 - Edward Greenwood Esq. J.P. Chairman of Committee - W.J. Hayhurst Esq Mayor"; the date and mayor's name match.
