The wheel pit for the bottom of Sheep Pasture incline, with the incline itself rising under the A6 road overbridge. Sheep Pasture incline is 711 yards (650 m) long at a gradient of 1 in 8 and was originally split into two sections, the lower section being known as the Cromford incline.
