The Wallerscote Light Railway, connecting the ICI works at Winnington with the West Coast Main Line at Gorstage Sidings, used to pass under the B5153 Northwich Road here, between Weaverham and Greenbank. The trackbed is in cutting at this point, but on both sides the cuttings are filled up with trees nowadays.
