Looking eastwards along the 1892 L&NWR Buxton - Hindlow - Dowlow - Ashbourne line just east of where the 1892 alignment from Harpur Hill Jn trailed in. Originally there were three tracks here, two for the "main line" and one for the Harpur Hill connection, which ran parallel for some distance as far as Hindlow Jn.
