Preparation work for the Second City Crossing, between the Arndale Centre (left) and Marks & Spencer (right). Just on the right here the Provisional IRA blew up a van full of explosives on 15/06/1996, after which this part of the city was pretty much completely rebuilt. I hope there is clearance for the wiring under the (new) footbridge! — at Manchester Corporation Street.
