The dead sections in the overhead wiring in the centre of the station area. Near end is the Italian 3 kV dc, farthest away is the Austrian 15 kV 16.7 Hz. There are four isolation sections for safety, but all locomotives (even the multi voltage ones) must coast through this section with all pantographs lowered.
