Dinting Station signal box controls the two branches to Hadfield and Glossop, the triangular layout here at Dinting and the line towards Manchester as far as Godley. This platform is now the Hadfield branch platform, formerly it was the main line to Woodhead and Sheffield. This platform only has trains during peak hours and at certain other times.
