Much of the TPT route between Southport and Liverpool is on the trackbed of the former Cheshire Lines Committee North Liverpool Extension and Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway routes from near Halewood via Aintree to Southport Lord Street station. This interesting bridge is near Mossbridge about 5 miles south of Southport. The S&CLER opened in 1884 and closed in 1952.
