To the right, RENFE metre gauge EMU 442 004 will work the 11:35 train from Cercedilla to Cotos. Cercedilla to Cotos is Madrid Cercanías (suburban line) C-9. To the left, 442 002 is spare. Further left are the broad gauge suburban platforms used by the Madrid Cercanías C-8 services, a small number of which continue to Segovia. Though in the Cercanías system, the line has special fares and only a limited number of tickets are sold - no difficulty at this time of year (and it helped with the PTG tour guide buying in advance) but I failed to do so on my previous visit to this area back in January 2023. Cercedilla station is 1150 metres above sea level. The line is electrified at 1500 V dc overhead.
