On the left, RENFE Alvia class 730 set 13 will work train Alvia 621, the 07:20 departure from Vigo Guixar to Ourense via Guillarei; I will taek it throughout. This is one of only a small number of services via this route, much of which runs close to the Minho river, the border with Portugal. Due to long term engineering works between Ourense and Monforte de Lemos, this train will terminate at Ourense instead of continuing to Leon and beyond. Though class 730 are dual gauge, bi-mode (25 kV 50 Hz, 3 kV dc and diesel) sets, only the broad gauge 3 kV dc capabilities are required for this working.
