Running alongside the present line between Sagunt and Ojos Negros, near Teruel, is the former Ferrocarril Ojos Negros-Sagunto, a metre gauge line built purely for mineral traffic; it was open from 1907 to 1972 and much of it is now walkable and cyclable as a Via Verde.
