Virgin Pendolino 390 010 has arrived back at Manchester Piccadilly after working empty back from Birmingham International on 25 July 2002.This was the second day of public operation of these new trains, which were built by Alstom. A very limited weekday service was operated for the Commonwealth Games, which were held in Manchester between 24 July and 4 August 2002.
