Looking eastwards in the direction of Dove Holes, the course of the Peak Forest Tramway is clearly visible between the dry stone walls, a short distance east of the top of Chapel inclined plane. A public footpath between Ashbourne Lane and Buxton Road (the A6) crosses the tramway course here.
