Looking north-eastwards from Moore Lane bridge, Railway Deviation No.2, the present route from Helsby and Chester, runs straight ahead; West Coast Main Line, is out of sight to the left; in the trees to the right is the original course of the Great Western Railway (GWR) route. Out of sight in the trees in the distance is Acton Grange Junction and the girder bridges over the Ship Canal.
