Still keeping close to the former Great Central Railway (GCR) route north of Glazebrook, the HS2 planned route crosses this field from far middle to the left, dropping down from the bridge over the L&MR to go under the next road south of Culcheth. Off to the right is the GCR alignment, now Culcheth Linear Park, which should be unaffected by HS2 except perhaps during construction.
