This wide angle shot shows the location of the missing three-span viaduct on the east side of the main Cadishead Viaduct over the Manchester Ship Canal. The missing viaduct had to be built to cross the River Mersey on its original pre-1893 alignment, even though the river would later be diverted into the Ship Canal at this point.
